Commerical Operation at Yangjian NPP Unit 1

The first unit of Yangjiang nuclear power plant in Guangdong Province has entered into commercial operation, as announced by CGN at a news releases held at Yang Jiang NPP on March 26, 2014.
Thanks to this new comer, in the mainland China there are 6 in-service nuclear power plants, 4 of which owned by CGN. Presently In China there eare 18 units in commercial operation, with installed capacity up to 15,860MWe.
The first two units are CPR1000 pressurized water reactors, on which construction was started in 2008. The units 3 & 4 are of CPR1000+ reactors, while Units 5 & 6 are of ACPR1000 technology.
