LingAo 1 Sees its Record of 3000-day Safe Operation

On March 1, 2014 at 1:21 a.m., LingAo 1 of CGN saw its record of 3000-day safe operation, listed number two among the similar units in the world for the record of continuous safe operation.
The number of safe operation days means the days calculated from the hours of criticality of a reactor during the period from its last non-planned shutdown to the time of statistics. GNPS of CGN ever created a record of 4000-day safe operation on December 2013 at 9:23 a.m., a world top record that still goes ahead.
Such performance of operation is a result of CGN’s strict compliance with the national requirements on nuclear safety and its expertise in nuclear safety management.
