CGN Taishan Nuclear Power Joint Venture Co., Ltd. (TOP) Convenes the Annual Press Conference of 2013

On Jan. 24th, TOP convened the annual press conference regarding nuclear operation and construction in 2013 on site, notifying the news media concerned of the Taishan NPP engineering construction, operation preparation, fulfillment of social responsibilities, etc.

Zhang Tao, Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of TOP, attended the conference and answered the questions raised by journalists. As journalists paid special attention to the Taishan nuclear power construction process and power generation schedule, Zhang Tao briefed the journalists, according to the project construction status, on the goal of TOP— realizing fuel loading by the end of 2014. When responding to the questions that the significance and roles played by TOP for CGN “going global”, Zhang Tao said the Chancellor of the Exchequer (of UK) and the Prime Minister of France visited Taishan Nuclear Power Plant and spoke highly of the Taishan Nuclear Power Construction. Taishan nuclear power construction is proceeding with the goal of constructing the first of the kind EPR reactor worldwide.
