CGN Holds Annual News Conference

CGN held a “News Conference 2014” in Shenzhen on January 15. Reporters from over 30 media, including People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, Central People’s Radio, Southern Daily and other, attended the conference.
On the conference, CGN released the information on the good safe operation performance achieved by its NPP units as well as the capability building in nuclear power operation and management in 2013.
The spokesman Hu Guangyao also released CGN’s performance in the aspects of nuclear power business development, environment protection, uranium resource and new energies development, R&D and its efforts in global marketing. He said it is the primary responsibility of CGN to provide safe, environment-friendly and economical energy for sustainable development of the society.
Mr. Hu also said, from 2014, CGN and its nuclear power bases will regularly hold annual news conference to release the information of safe operation, nuclear power construction and operation and to respond to the public concerns, aiming to creating an image of transparent state-owned enterprise.
