On January 27, “China Night”, the grand soiree held at Grand Palais in Paris, marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of the Ministry of Culture of the PRC Cai Wu, Chinese ambassador to France Zhai Juan, and CGN General Manager Zhang Shanming attended the celebration.

At the banquet, Zhang Shanming made a speech and expressed his New Year wishes to the guests present. He said that the successful cooperation between CGN and EDF witnessed the deep friendship of the two parties who would make new contributions to the energy industry and economic development in both China and France. After the banquet, Zhang Shanming talked with Zhai Juan, and discussed with EDF representatives on the further cooperation. Lu Wei and Liu Yuguang of CNPEC France Branch also attended the celebration.
